About this Pet Tech® member:
I'm a certified dog and cat trainer with a B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University, and I specialize in Pet First Aid & CPR education for pet parents, pet professionals, and animal caregivers. As a PetTech Certified Pet First Aid & CPR Instructor, I’m passionate about helping others feel confident and prepared to respond to pet emergencies with hands-on, practical training.
My background includes animal care and behavior work at SeaWorld San Diego, the Los Angeles Zoo, and the Aquarium of the Pacific, where I gained valuable experience working with a wide variety of species. These roles strengthened my commitment to animal safety, wellness, and positive, force-free handling techniques.
I am also a Fear Free Certified Professional, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT). Through my business, Furry Tail Training: For Dogs and Cats, based in Lake Elsinore, California, I offer private pet training, behavior consultations, and Pet First Aid & CPR classes throughout Southern California.
At home, I’m lucky to share life with my rescue pets—Raya, my playful and sensitive dog, and Lilo, my clever and curious cat—who inspire my work every day and remind me just how important pet preparedness truly is.
