I have trained and certified multiple dogs for Search and Rescue of missing person, and during that time have experienced first-hand medical emergencies with my K9 partners, from minor scrapes to a severe fall with trauma. Back in 2003 when I first started in K9 SAR, it was almost impossible to find a pet First Aid and CPR class. Thankfully, PetTech has changed that, because as we like to say - you can't call 911 for your pet.

While there are some things we can't fix with a basic CPR and First Aid Class, my hope is by teaching the PetTech family of classes, I will be able to help others make positive decisions before emergency care is needed. And if something unexpected does happen, they know how to take appropriate action. We all love our pets, and knowing what to do can make the difference between life and death.

Beyond Search and Rescue, I am also partnered with a gifted Therapy Dog who responds to crisis events in our community. I am a dog trainer, author, and in general, an animal lover from childhood.
