Hi, I’m Robin Belcher Ash, the owner of Blessed Furever Dog Training. I’m also the Head trainer and the only trainer which sometimes is very beneficial since I usually listen to what I tell myself to do.
Before we get started, let me tell you what brought me here today. My previous life was in Information Technology. I worked for the government for 33 years but before I retired, I became a Project Management Professional. Most of my friends wondered why I worked in such a left brained job so when looking toward a second career, I was focused on my passion, dogs. I realized I had already acquired many skills I could incorporate in dog training especially communication, team building, leadership, problem solving and how to run a project. I am a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy, a Certified Training Partner for them and a Professional Member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.
I had trained our 2 previous Shelties, Lady and Angel but it wasn’t until Angel’s heart problem started causing her to faint that I realized I had no idea what to do . The first time it happened, I was at a loss. It was then I realized my next passion was pet CPR and First Aid. Our recent Sheltie, Isabella, pictured here, was born with Pulmonary Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). A hole in her heart that didn’t close when she was born…again the importance of CPR and First Aid in my life.
