I am currently in nursing school to earn my RN, and I’m also a Registered Veterinary Technician, having graduated from tech school in 2019. I serve as a Shelter Operations Manager for a local rescue, and I’m continuing my path toward becoming a professional trainer.
I’m finishing my bachelor’s degree and will soon be moving into a master’s program in veterinary medical sciences. Outside of animal work, my husband and I own a small business unrelated to pets. I’m also a mom of three with a house full of animals — no surprise there!
I decided to take this class myself and become an instructor to broaden my knowledge of pet safety. Not only do owned pets need proper care, but the un-owned animals who come through my shelter are often overlooked, and I am a strong advocate for their care as well. I’ve earned many certifications over the years because I truly love what I do, and I will continue learning every day to grow within the animal industry.
Most importantly, I want to share that knowledge with all of you — because when we learn more, the animals benefit. 🐾💙
