I’ve been involved in training/teaching for many years; first as a nurse working in Operating Rooms in the UK, through working in the medical industry training doctors and nurses to use high-speed drills in surgery and then training Sales Executives to sell products used in neurosurgery, neurovascular interventions and spine surgery throughout Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and Asia
I am also a Scuba Diving Instructor and a competitive skydiver, so training and coaching is an integral part of my hobbies
I work as the Animal Wellness Manager with Young at Heart Senior Pet Adoption Centre in Woodstock Illinois.
I’m responsible for the ongoing care, comfort, health and wellness for the senior dogs and cats in our care. Our small team take care of up to 50 seniors in a cage less facility, and as they are seniors, there’s usually a lot of ‘caring’ to do!
As part of our commitment to both animal care and to continuous improvement, the Animal Care Team requested Animal CPR training. We engaged Pet Tech and were encouraged to train a team member and have me train the team - so here I am!
We are excited to be able to offer this programme exclusively through Young at Heart to our compassionate staff, amazing volunteers, wonderful foster parents and our great adoptive pet parents
