Kirstine began grooming in 2007. She worked for 5 years at a vet clinic before starting her own business, Groom with a View. During the 12 years she worked as a full time groomer, she achieved her Certified Feline Master Groomer. She earned her Petcare DermaTech Specialist and International Certified Professional Groomer through ISCC. She is well on her way towards her Master Pet Stylist.
Kirstine has been teaching classes to groomers all over the country on understanding shampoos and product labeling along with cat and dog skin and coat since 2012. She is introducing canine handling classes that integrate dog psychology and physiology with a heavy emphasis on practical skills based on building trust with the pet in 2025.
In 2023 Kirstine received a diagnosis of Invasive Ductal and Lobular Carcinoma (breast cancer). After surgery and recovery she decided it was a good time to leave all her friends, family, and clients to start over in the smallest town she could find. She moved to Junction, Utah in central Utah. Surrounded by National Parks and the most beautiful scenery in the country she opened Pet Junction Grooming. She started a garden, got a couple chickens, and added a new puppy. When she isn't chasing them around, she occasionally grooms.
Kirstine took her first Pet Tech First Aid & CPR class in 2012 and has renewed her training ever 1-2 years. In 2024 she realized it was time to become an instructor and teach pet safety in her Utah communities.
