REGISTER TO ATTEND

Dog Pals Sports Camp is an active private 48-acre homestead and canine sports park. This makes it easy for us to run many different types of canine trials and activities.

The great part of our Farm Dog trial is you have the option of staying the day and playing on the grounds, practicing agility, dog parkour, 2 mile Iron Dog trial and more. You will need to register for full access.

The Farm Dog Certificate is another great way to test your canine partners’ social and obedience skills. This is like AKC’s CGC test in that there are 12 skills that the handler and dog passes to earn their title. 2 main differences include, testing must be completed by an approved Farm Dog Judge and each team must pass the skills in front of two different judges.

We will have 2 judges and courses set up so you can attempt both and possibly earn your Farm Dog Certification on the same day.

The skills that you must pass:
1. GREET JUDGE – INITIAL DOG APPRAISAL
2. PERFORM A WALKING PATTERN AROUND FARM ENVIRONMENT / PASSIVE
STRANGER
3. JUMP ON HAY/STRAW BALE
4. WALK BY FARM ANIMALS
5. WALK OVER OR THROUGH UNUSUAL SURFACES
6. SUPERVISED SEPARATION
7. PASS THROUGH A GATE
8. HANDLER FEEDS LIVESTOCK
9. REACTION TO ANOTHER DOG
10. REACTION TO NOISE DISTRACTION
11. DOG APPROACHES LIVESTOCK
12. PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
