I've spent over 30 years working across nearly every corner of the Pet Care industry. My journey started in veterinary clinics after I received my degree in Animal Science and professional grooming which led me to graduate from Terry's dog styling School. Over the decades, I've owned and operated and developed multiple pet businesses - including a self wash, grooming salon, in-home pet sitting and dog walking service, and eventually building and running my own 17 acre boarding and grooming facility housing up to 30 plus dogs at a time. I've also served as a Comfort Dog Handler with Lutheran Church Charities and have handled everything from large-scale Community Pet events to dog weddings. Pet safety, preventative care, and quick response have always been central to my work, and I'm excited to share that knowledge with you. Over the years I've worked with hundreds of dogs and cats in every age, breed and temperament. In this field, you learn very quickly that emergencies rarely give you warning. I have taken the Pet Tech course multiple times myself as a student. Every time I took it, I was deeply impressed by the quality of the curriculum, the depth of the training, and the sheer care and thoughtfulness that was put into all of it. It made such a strong impact on me and how I care for animals. I truly believe that taking one of the Pet Tech classes will empower you to save lives!
