I have been working in the animal industry since I was in high school. I started out mucking stalls and teaching horseback riding lessons on a horse farm. Since then I have continued my animal journey to hold many different animal care positions in many different states. Fast forward a little over ten years ago when I began my career in small animal care. I currently manage a daycare and boarding facility for small animals including exotics. I am also a dog trainer. I strive to keep all of by resort guests at the highest level of safety and wellness which is one of the reason I decided to become a pet tech instructor. The other reason is I had an animal emergency with a very young kitten I had rescued who stopped breathing. If it wasn't for a CPR class I had taken I would not have saved her life. As my husband was watching the emergency unfold it dawned on me that not everyone has the knowledge. I decided at that moment I wanted to gain the knowledge of teaching others who to help save their own beloved four legged family members in the event of a medical emergency of their own.
