Hello, My name is Michelle Reddy. I live in Pittsburgh with my husband Michael and our two daughters Devyn and Haley. We have 3 dogs, three cats and a snake. I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician of almost 20 years. I also run a Veterinary Assistant program at Trinity High School in Washington, Pa. When I started my program 5 years ago, I didn’t realize I was going to enjoy it as much as I do. I always refer to myself as a vet tech lifer. There was never a time in my life that I thought of doing any other profession and I know I never will. Even now that I teach I still work in a clinic part time because I just can’t walk away from it. But I love teaching. I love seeing my students get excited for our next hands-on experience. I love the fact that most of my seniors graduate and go on to further their education in Veterinary medicine. And I just love knowing that I am sending future veterinary professionals and animal lovers out into the world. I am so excited to be a Pet Tech CPR/first aid instructor. This is an important skill not only for professionals but also for pet owners. Knowing what to do in an emergency could mean the difference between losing a pet and having them by your side for years to come. Being an instructor means helping others save lives. And saving animals' lives is what I have wanted to do my whole life. Being a Pet tech instructor is an asset that I can offer to my community. I love being a vet tech and I love being a teacher. And now I love being a Pet Tech Instructor.
